nVent is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information for a complex global organization operating across 50+ locations and 30+ currencies. This role blends accounting expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and cross-functional partnership to support high‑quality consolidated reporting, ensure compliance, and strengthen financial processes. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial transactions.
- Research and analyze general ledger account variances and provide clear explanations to stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and improve standard recurring journal entries.
- Prepare assigned month‑end account reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness.
- Act as a business partner to resolve reconciling items and strengthen account ownership.
- Provide proactive analysis and insights to direct leader and functional teams.
- Maintain and update Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) documentation to support compliance requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of internal and external audit requests.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses, data requests, and project support as needed.
- Support the application of Company accounting principles.
- Collaborate with key business partners across segments to ensure alignment and transparency.
YOU HAVE:
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; preferred.
- 4+ years of accounting experience required; CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
- Experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills.
- Experience with Epicor, Syteline, Oracle or similar ERP systems; OneStream experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a desire to enhance processes and controls.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from stakeholders at all levels.
