Position Summary:

At Miovision, we are engineering the future of smart transportation, but to keep our business accelerating, we need a brilliant Senior Accountant to ensure our finances don't hit a bottleneck. Consider yourself the traffic controller for our ledger! We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive professional to take the wheel on key operational accounting areas. You will be the green light for our monthly and quarterly closes, ensuring the smooth flow of accurate and timely financial data to support crucial business decisions. Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Close with Confidence: Champion the monthly and quarterly close processes—from preparing journal entries to investigating variances—ensuring everything is accurate, complete, and right on time.

• Reconciliation Rockstar: Prepare detailed account reconciliations and supporting schedules, proactively hunting down and resolving discrepancies before they become headaches.

• System Optimizer: Partner across teams to level up our financial systems and processes, playing a vital role in high-impact initiatives like ERP migrations and module implementations.

• Master of the Ledger: Guarantee the precise recording of all transactions (revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities) while ensuring strict compliance with accounting policies.

• Audit Ace: Act as a reliable anchor during audit and review cycles by preparing rock-solid documentation, fielding auditor inquiries, and supporting testing efforts.

• Reporting Guru: Assist in building comprehensive supporting schedules and top-tier documentation for financial reporting.

• Guardian of Compliance: Keep our financial foundation incredibly secure by ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and accounting standards.

• Policy Pioneer: Support the Controller in elevating our Accounting Policies and Procedures, constantly seeking out and implementing continuous improvements.

• AI Enthusiast: Fearlessly leverage modern AI tools to innovate, drive continuous process improvement, and boost overall efficiency.

• Project Powerhouse: Jump into ad-hoc special projects as they arise to support our dynamic, growing business.

The Ideal Profile:

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and you proudly hold—or are actively working towards—your CPA designation.

• You have a keen eye for spotting operational gaps and a proven track record of designing clever, effective process improvements.

• You are naturally curious and love experimenting with AI to make your day-to-day work faster, smarter, and more efficient.

• You possess the rare and highly valued ability to translate complex financial jargon into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.

• You are highly comfortable juggling the complexities of multiple entities operating in different currencies.

• You bring experience from public accounting or have strong operational chops from a high-growth tech company (we consider this a massive asset!).

• You boast strong technical proficiency in ASPE and IFRS. (Bonus points and gold stars if you bring US GAAP knowledge to the table!)
