What We Seek
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to perform a variety of advanced accounting, financial reporting, and analysis tasks. The ideal candidate brings a self-driven, detail-oriented mentality with a commitment to accuracy, sound judgment, and continuous process improvement.
What Your Day Will Look Like
The Senior Accountant provides advanced accounting support to accounting and finance leadership. You will have a variety of accounting responsibilities, including:
- Contributing to monthly and annual close cycles, including journal entries and account analysis
- Preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements for accuracy and GAAP compliance
- Performing general ledger accounting, journal entries, billing and accounts payable entries, and bank/account reconciliations
- Ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of complex accounts and resolving variances
- Analyzing financial data and transactions to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Providing guidance and mentorship to accounting clerks and junior staff
- Researching, analyzing, and resolving complex accounting or reporting discrepancies
- Preparing and presenting financial reports and analysis to management
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and applicable regulations
- Performing daily cash & banking tasks
- Performing system setup tasks to ensure accuracy across client projects and revenue reporting

What You Bring
- Strong analytical skills with a desire to grow in knowledge, leadership, and responsibility
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience (prior experience in a consulting or professional services firm is a plus!)
- Strong Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables (bonus points if you know keyboard shortcuts)
