Our client, a growing consumer-focused organization in the Savannah area, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for an immediate temp-to-perm opportunity. This is a hands-on role for an accounting professional who is comfortable resolving complex accounting issues, improving financial processes, and working effectively in a fast-paced, multi-system environment.
Schedule: Hybrid, with approximately three days per week onsite
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Duration: The position is expected to begin on a temporary basis with the potential to convert to a permanent role.
Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Support monthly and year-end close activities.
Research and resolve complex cash, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliation issues.
Assist with historical accounting clean-up and account correction projects.
Reconcile financial activity between the general ledger and supporting systems.
Support accounting for revenue, customer transactions, and related balance sheet accounts.
Assist with inventory and transaction-based accounting.
Support sales and use tax compliance.
Review transactions flowing through purchasing, payment, and customer-facing systems.
Help improve accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation.
Partner with finance, operations, and other departments to resolve accounting issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong general ledger accounting and reconciliation skills.
Experience with complex cash, balance sheet, and system reconciliations.
Prior involvement in accounting clean-up, process improvement, or financial systems projects.
Experience supporting revenue-related accounting, inventory, and sales and use tax.
Experience with a cloud-based ERP or comparable accounting system.
Familiarity with purchasing, payment, or expense-management platforms.
Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite in the Savannah area approximately three days per week.
