Schedule: Hybrid, with approximately three days per week onsite

Duration: The position is expected to begin on a temporary basis with the potential to convert to a permanent role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support monthly and year-end close activities.
- Research and resolve complex cash, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliation issues.
- Assist with historical accounting clean-up and account correction projects.
- Reconcile financial activity between the general ledger and supporting systems.
- Support accounting for revenue, customer transactions, and related balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with inventory and transaction-based accounting.
- Support sales and use tax compliance.
- Review transactions flowing through purchasing, payment, and customer-facing systems.
- Help improve accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation.
- Partner with finance, operations, and other departments to resolve accounting issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong general ledger accounting and reconciliation skills.
- Experience with complex cash, balance sheet, and system reconciliations.
- Prior involvement in accounting clean-up, process improvement, or financial systems projects.
- Experience supporting revenue-related accounting, inventory, and sales and use tax.
- Experience with a cloud-based ERP or comparable accounting system.
- Familiarity with purchasing, payment, or expense-management platforms.
- Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite in the Savannah area approximately three days per week.
