Job Description

Our team is representing a well-established, stable, and highly regarded entertainment-related organization who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their corporate team. Located in a vibrant small-office setting near the Beltline of Calgary, you will work closely with the CFO and support an Accounting Assistant, playing a vital role in keeping pace with a high-volume, large-scale operational workload.

While project teams scale up during peak periods, the corporate office maintains a steady, dynamic workflow that requires an adaptable and efficient professional. A professional accounting designation is not required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the CFO directly on day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and special projects.
• Collaborate closely with the Accounting Assistant to ensure accuracy and timeliness across financial workflows.
• Manage key accounting functions, including month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
• Handle a heavy and diverse workload efficiently, while balancing routine accounting tasks with ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional accounting experience (designation is not required).
• Proven ability to handle a large, high-volume workload and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong foundation in core accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Exceptional adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative "all hands on deck" attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a close-knit corporate team.
