We’re seeking a Senior Accountant II, someone who combines technical expertise with exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail. This role is critical to maintaining the financial integrity of our organization and ensuring that leadership has the insights needed to drive the business forward. What You’ll Do as our Senior Accountant II:
As a Senior Accountant II, you will play a key role in our financial operations, with responsibilities that include:
- Financial Reporting & Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure complete, timely recording of transactions.
- Prepare entity-level financial statements, including detailed P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, complete with narrative explanations.
- Reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts with precision and accuracy.
- Financial Analysis & Forecasting
- Lead variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting with a strong focus on multi-entity drivers.
- Analyze revenue, costs, and commitments to provide forward-looking financial insights.
- Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls and support external audits with required documentation.
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement enhancements to accounting procedures—especially in entity reporting, financial statement production, and rebate processing.
- Apply best practices to increase efficiency, consistency, and accuracy in financial operations.
- Special Projects
- Participate in system implementations, process redesigns, and other strategic initiatives.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests from leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Expertise preparing detailed financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Experience with entity-level reporting and financial consolidation.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- High-level Excel skills; proficiency with accounting/ERP systems.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reconcile complex financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in drafting clear financial narratives.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools for financial reporting.
- Strong project management skills and experience mentoring junior-level staff.
- Drive meaningful improvements in financial accuracy and reporting quality.
- Partner closely with leadership and make a tangible impact on financial planning and operational decision-making.
