JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with the financial accounting and reporting process including, but not limited to, performing reconciliations, preparing closing journal entries, gathering data to support financial statement disclosures, researching certain accounting issues and ensuring compliance with Company policies and regulatory reporting requirements, particularly with Securities and Exchange Act filings and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
This position will also require working closely with the Accounting management team to provide analytical support to various other functions within the Company. The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Assistant Controller and works closely with various functions including Accounts Payable, Billing and Revenue, Sales, and Operations.

DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Eyesight:             Functional, correctable to 20/20

Hearing:               Functional, correctable to normal to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.

Speech:               Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.

Mobility:           Unencumbered by physical limitations to perform vessel survey and inspection duties to include: Walking, climbing, crawling, lifting, pulling, reaching, vehicle driving and should be skilled in typing.

HOURS OF WORK

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 5:00pm. Overtime and occasional work-related travel will occur on an as needed basis. Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Note: Rotation schedule may vary and is subject to change based on vessel requirements.
