Job Title: Senior Accountant (Healthcare/Hospital Experienced)
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time
Note: Experience with EPIC (Cash Reconciliation) is a must have.
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing complex accounting functions and financial analysis to support organizational operations. This role contributes to the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, provides actionable insights through data analysis, and supports financial management through process improvements and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced accounting and financial analysis assignments
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements
- Conduct variance analysis and interpret financial data trends
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems, processes, and procedures
- Review and approve account reconciliations
- Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting staff
- Retrieve and analyze data from ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools
- Support financial operations and decision-making processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EPIC (Cash Reconciliation)
- Experience with Lawson ERP
- Experience with BlackLine reconciliation software
