What You Will Do
- Drive core accounting operations. Own the general ledger, execute revenue recognition and other key accounting workflows, and ensure the data and supporting inputs underlying the company's financial statements are complete, accurate, and timely. You won't just process transactions; you'll understand what they mean for the business.
- Build and improve processes that scale. Help design and implement accounting infrastructure, workflows, and internal controls needed to support a rapidly scaling company operating across multiple merchant partnerships simultaneously.
- Bring strategic structure to a high-volume, operationally intense environment. Translate a dense array of financial activity, such as subscription billing, device procurement, and depreciation, into clean, auditable financials.
- Partner cross-functionally with legal, finance, engineering, and operations. Serve as a strategic thought partner across teams, ensuring purchase orders, transaction data, inventory activity, and other accounting inputs are accurately captured and reflected in the company's books and financial statements.
- Support audit readiness and compliance. Interface with external accounting and audit partners to support financial reviews, SOC compliance, and the reporting rigor expected as the company scales into its next stage.
- Contribute to the company's in-house ledger. Work closely with engineering to ensure the ledger accurately reflects our subscription and billing workflows, and surface insights that inform how we build financial infrastructure.

- A strategic thinker who thrives on complexity, connects the dots across the business, and doesn't wait to be told what to do next
- Comfortable operating hands-on in an environment where you'll need to build the plane while flying it
