Summary
Join a mission driven healthcare and human services organization where you will play a key role in revenue recognition, regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and reimbursement oversight across complex funding streams. This role is ideal for a detail driven accounting professional who thrives in fast paced healthcare or nonprofit environments and enjoys improving financial accuracy, compliance, and operational performance. What Youâll Do
- Manage monthly revenue recognition and reconciliation processes.
- Analyze Medicaid, Medicare, grant, insurance, and contract revenue activity.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month end close schedules.
- Reconcile billing systems to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor deferred revenue, accruals, contractual adjustments, and allowances.
- Prepare regulatory, grant, and funder reporting submissions.
- Support audits, cost reports, compliance reviews, and financial reporting.
- Track receivables, denials, cash collections, and aging trends.
- Partner with operational and revenue cycle teams to resolve reporting issues.
- Support process improvements, internal controls, and accounting workflow optimization.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and Board reporting support.
What Youâll Need
- 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong experience with revenue recognition, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, grants, or third party reimbursement environments.
- Experience preparing regulatory, funder, or reimbursement reporting.
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience required.
- Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
What Would Be a Plus
- CPA certification.
- Behavioral health, nonprofit healthcare, or human services industry experience.
- Experience with EHR or healthcare billing systems.
- Experience with single audits or cost reports.
