We are currently hiring a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This position supports the accounting department through general ledger accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, audit support, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to supporting our mission of providing exceptional care and services to older adults.
Wage: $75,000-$90,000/yr
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Hybrid)
What You'll Do
- Assist with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement review.
- Perform intercompany accounting, debt service accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
- Analyze accounts receivable aging and reserves.
- Process ACH transactions and remote deposits.
- Assist with annual budgeting, financial reporting, and audit support.
- Prepare quarterly reports and support Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting.
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions as needed.
- Complete additional accounting projects and duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- 5+ years of senior-level general ledger accounting experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
- Healthcare accounting experience preferred.
Work Environment and Reporting
- Reports directly to the Controller.
- Primarily office-based with remote work capabilities.
- Collaborates with leaders and departments throughout the organization.
- Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all financial activities

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or equivalent standards).
- Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, consistent with job responsibilities.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification.
- Prior experience in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or multi-entity environments.
- Experience with audits, consolidations, or financial statement preparation.
- Familiarity with ERP or enterprise accounting systems.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or financial modeling.
- Strong process improvement mindset with experience optimizing accounting workflows.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based accounting work.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and computer use for long durations.
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach during the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull office materials typically up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, video, and written formats.
- Ability to operate standard office and accounting systems, including computers and related equipment.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment within a senior living organization or corporate setting.
- Regular interaction with finance team members, business office staff, and operational leadership.
- Exposure to confidential financial and organizational information requiring discretion.
- Work may involve cyclical deadlines, particularly during month-end, year-end, and audit periods.
