ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSFinancial Reporting
- Complete month-end and year-end close process for various entities.
- Generate period close Journal Entries.
- Prepare financial statements and dashboards for all entities.
- Investigate and resolve variances in period-end reconciliations.
Coordination of Annual Audit
- Prepare schedules to support period end balance sheet balances.
- Respond to queries from external auditors.
- Maintain documentation to support audit process.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Gather information from various entities and corporate departments.
- Create budget templates and mapping of budgets to management reporting formats.
- Build cost allocation models for various common expenses.
- Report monthly on budget variances and forecasts
Supervision of Accountants
- Review the work of Accountants.
- Provide feedback on process improvements to operate at a high level of efficiency.
- Assist with cross-training to provide coverage for vacations.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Budget variances investigated and corrected/explained by business day 4.
- Financial Statements prepared and sent out by business day 5.
- Management reporting to be completed by business day 7.
- Month-end close checklist to be completed and signed off by business day 7.
CMB TEAM SUPPORT
- Be familiar with and follow company policies and procedures as established (Employee Handbook, Finance policies and procedures, etc.).
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and company functions.
- Demonstrate good corporate citizenship qualities with a positive attitude.
Knowledge and Experience
- At least 5 years full cycle accounts accounting experience
- CPA designation or working towards a similar designation.\
- Exposure to external audit process
- Advanced excel skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic fast- pace environment.
- Excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Independent, process oriented with an attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to change and improve continuously
