Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the full accounting function for a fast-paced automotive dealership environment. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, experience managing multiple accounting processes, and proficiency with dealership management systems, specifically Tekion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle accounting process including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Payroll processing
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Financial reporting
  • Month-end and year-end close
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate payroll activities ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and dealership financial performance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
• Collaborate with dealership management to support operational and financial goals.
• Maintain and optimize accounting processes within the Tekion dealership management system.
• Support internal controls and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the automotive dealership industry.
• Hands-on experience managing the full accounting cycle.
• Required experience with Tekion software.
• Fully bilingual (English and Spanish), both written and verbal.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive dealership accounting.
• Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
• CPA designation preferred but not required.
