Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!! Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Senior Accountant position in our Fiscal Services department.  The Senior Accountant supports the reporting, consolidation, and analysis of financial results.  This position performs accounting services including but not limited to: recording recurring and adjusting journal entries and monthly variance analysis of budget to actual results are explained and documented.  The Senior Accountant also performs monthly account reconciliations to the general ledger and records adjustments in a timely manner.  This position provides supporting schedules and detail to assist in the preparation of annual budgets and audits for the hospital entity and departments within the hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience:  Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree preferred Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  Minimum of five years of progressive general accounting experience including financial statement preparation; account analysis and reconciliation; external and internal audit support, preferably in healthcare
