Position The Senior Accountant is an important member of the Beyond Housing accounting team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a broad knowledge of accounting standards and operations along with a focus on problem-solving, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process periodic bank account activity and prepare the accompanying cash report
- Process wire transfers
- Perform accounting duties for Beyond Housing and related entities, including operations journal entries, monthly closing entries
- Perform quarterly compliance reporting duties for regulated entities such as low-income housing partnerships
- Create annual budgets for low-income housing partnerships
- Perform analysis and reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts
- Cross-train and provide backup support for key processes including accounts payable and payroll as needed
- Assist Controller with preparation for and coordination of the annual audit process
- Perform other duties and assist Controller as needed
