Senior Accountant

Are you mission-driven and interested in using your accounting background to support animals in need? The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL), one of New England’s leading animal welfare organizations, is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our organization. This full-time position is based out of our Dedham location.

What we offer:

• Base salary ranging from $90,000 to $95,000 annually.

What you will do:

The person in this role must

• Get it: understand GAAP, the close cycle, payroll mechanics, and how the pieces of a non-profit's books fit together.
• Want it: genuinely enjoy reconciliation work, audit prep, and the rhythm of the monthly close with a desire to own the GL.
• Have it: possess the technical skill and professional capacity needed to deliver a clean, on-time close each month.
