What will you be doing?
Action Target is looking for a skilled, professional, and driven Part-Time Senior Level Accountant. This individual will be a key contributor to the finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented, dynamic, a thought leader and have the ability to think outside the box. Additionally, the ideal candidate will need to excel in an environment with private equity investors, manufacturing and service revenues and cost centers, sophisticated ERP setup, and consolidation of multiple subsidiaries. This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
This position offers a flexible work schedule, with an expectation of approximately 25 hours per week. Located in South, Provo.
Some of your day-to-day tasks?
- Assists in recording transactions related to and in ensuring the accuracy of accounting of revenue and expense recognition, billing, cost accounting, cash management, GL, AR, AP and fixed asset
- Helps coordinates and conduct the monthly and annual closing procedures
- Assists in providing problem solving, application of accounting principles and issue resolution across the accounting team of 6 to 8 members
- Assists in the monitoring, maintenance, documentation and enhancement of the accounting policies, procedures and internal controls and accounting team efficiencies
- Provides guidance for accounting/finance tools and system
- Engages with outsourced functions (tax, audit and transfer pricing)
- Assists in the oversight and filing of tax compliance matters (Fed & State Income Taxes, Sales & Use Taxes and Foreign Tax Obligations)
- Mentors team members
- Assists with the production and review of monthly financial statements and reports
What do you need to be able to do?
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls.
- Solid experience working with ERP systems in a business environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across the organization.
- Collaborative team player with a customer-service mindset and the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required
