Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager

Our client is a growing company looking for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager (DOE) to take ownership of core accounting functions across a dynamic, project-driven business. This role touches everything from month-end close and construction accounting to AR, AP, cash management, and audit support with cross-functional visibility into project operations and leadership. Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Manage customer invoicing, AIA billings, lien waivers, and collections activity while monitoring AR aging and partnering with project teams to resolve billing issues
• Apply construction accounting principles including percentage-of-completion, COGS, and subcontractor administration, and partner with project managers to ensure accurate project cost reporting
• Support AP operations, weekly payment runs, daily cash reconciliation, cash flow forecasting, and external audit and tax engagements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or public accounting experience preferred
• 3–8 years of progressive accounting experience; construction, renewable energy, or project-based industry background strongly preferred
• Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills with strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail
