Senior Accountant

Job Description

Our client is a product-based company looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to own the full accounting function, from daily transaction recording through financial statement preparation and audit coordination. This role leads month-end and year-end close, manages inventory accounting, and serves as a key financial resource for operational and leadership decision-making. It's a strong fit for someone who likes being close to the numbers and wants real ownership in a lean, impactful environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet analyses, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage inventory accounting and internal controls, including reconciliations, cycle count reviews, physical inventory oversight, and variance investigations
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances, and communicate findings and recommendations to management
• Coordinate annual audits, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and assist with cash flow planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or lead close experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, and month-end close processes
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
