Job Summary
The Sales & Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Sales and Finance & Insurance (F&I) departments at Ball Equipment. This position leads the sales team, manages inventory planning and merchandising, ensures accurate deal processing, and drives revenue growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Performance
• Lead, train, coach, and manage the sales team to meet or exceed dealership sales goals.
• Ensure the sales team fully understands and utilizes available manufacturer and vendor promotions.
• Monitor and analyze key sales metrics, including revenue, gross margin, conversion rates, closing ratios, and product mix.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Ensure effective utilization of CRM systems for lead management, follow-up, and customer retention.
Inventory Management
• Provide insight on inventory acquisition and stocking decisions.
• Track and manage floorplan aging to ensure timely inventory turnover.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotions and strategies for moving aged inventory.
Operations & Customer Delivery
• Coordinate product delivery, floor planning, showroom merchandising, and inventory presentation.
• Oversee showroom layout to ensure products are displayed effectively and professionally.
• Ensure inventory records and unit information are accurate and up to date.
• Partner closely with the Service Department to ensure sold units are prepared, inspected, and delivered according to customer expectations and dealership standards.
• Monitor the status of sold units and proactively address any delays that may impact customer delivery.
• Ensure pre-delivery inspections (PDI), accessory installations, and customer-requested modifications are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Coordinate with staff to make sure manufacture displays are up to date and compliant and submit any required documents each quarter.
• Work collaboratively with Service leadership to prioritize customer purchases and improve overall delivery turnaround times and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate cross-department communication to resolve issues that may affect delivery schedules or the customer experience.
Customer Experience
• Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely, professional resolution.
• Promote a customer-focused culture that delivers exceptional service throughout the sales process.
Finance & Deal Administration
• Ensure all sales transactions and finance documentation are completed accurately and in compliance with dealership policies.
• Oversee deal finalization processes in coordination with the F&I Administrator.
• Support financing, warranty, and protection product sales while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Review deals for accuracy and profitability before finalization.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation:  Competitive Base Salary to $80,000 plus incentives for earning potential up to $100,000 annually.


Qualifications

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of sales experience, preferably in the Powersports, Outdoor Power Equipment, Agricultural Equipment, or automotive industries.
• Previous sales management or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including data entry, CRM systems, and internet-based software.
• Excellent leadership, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze sales and inventory data and make informed business decisions.
• Flexible schedule and availability, including seasonal business demands.
• Experience with CDK, Lightspeed, or similar dealership management software preferred.
• CRM experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and varying temperatures.
• Periodic exposure to moderate noise levels in a dealership environment.
