Risk Manager/ Program Analyst (5651)

The PATRIOT Ground Support Equipment Product Office is seeking a Program Analyst to serve as the Product Office Risk Manager. In this position, the successful candidate will serve a vital, primary role managing a recurring process that helps communicate Product Office needs and requirements within the Risk Management Framework to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive and to the Army.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•  Identifies, assesses, tracks, and defines mitigation of programmatic and technical risks for the PATRIOT and RIG-360 programs throughout the lifecycle
• Supports program leadership by maintaining the program risk register in the Army Risk Management System (ARMS)
• Facilitates risk-management boards; analyzes cost, schedule, technical, manufacturing, test, cybersecurity, sustainment, and integration risks
• Develops mitigation plans with responsible owners and due dates
• Prepares decision-quality risk briefings and reports for the Product Manager and Program leadership
• Ensures risks are documented and escalated at the appropriate level
• Integrates risk considerations into acquisition strategies, program reviews, milestones, and contract actions
• Coordinates with functional teams to promote early risk identification and informed leadership decisions
• Performs other operations support duties, as assigned

Required Skills & Experience 

• Clearance Required: Secret
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 5+ years of experience supporting Department of War acquisition programs
• Demonstrated understanding of and experience applying the Army risk-management process in support of acquisition or sustainment programs
• Demonstrated critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise, decision-quality briefings and reports
• Strong briefing and facilitation skills, including experience leading or supporting boards, working groups, or planning teams
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Desired Skills & Experience 

• Experience supporting Army acquisition programs and complex weapon-system or integrated-system portfolios
• Experience using ARMS or comparable risk-management tools to maintain risk registers and prepare risk reports
• Familiarity with acquisition lifecycle processes, program reviews, milestone events, and contract actions
• Experience facilitating Integrated Product Team meetings and senior-leader decision briefings
• Familiarity with cost, schedule, technical, cybersecurity, manufacturing, test, integration, and sustainment risk areas
• Proficiency in MS SharePoint and Teams architecture

The proposed salary for this position is:

$93,000 - $156,000 USD
