Are you looking for an opportunity to join a diverse group of professionals who are committed to remaining exceptional? We look forward to hearing from you.

We have the job for you with one of the world’s largest independent risk management teams!  Our senior project risk team lead in Edmonton - who is literally one of the best QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment)  practitioners in North America with 30-years experience and who will be your personal mentor - has grown the business and needs direct support getting all the work done.  The plan is for you to be that help. Please note: This position will be based in Edmonton for approximately 13–15 months for training purposes. Following the completion of the training period, the role will transition back to Calgary as its permanent location.

Interested?  Here is what you need to bring to the table:

Must haves

  1. A keen, swift and curious mind that has a special affinity for making numbers squeal.

  1. Appreciation that $42M contingency is a real number while $51,452,300 is not.

  1. Steeped in North American culture with commanding English.

  1. Comfortable public speaking with an emerging greatness for meeting facilitation.

  1. Ability to edit and write both concise reports and captivating presentations.

  1. Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business.

  1. A nascent understanding of what a capital project is, and how they are developed and executed.

  1. Eagerness to get into the details and mow through grunt work to free up senior team member’s time to further grow the business.

  1. An understanding that trust is earned - by doing what you said you would do, on time with impeccable quality – and there is no substitute for hard work as you only get asked to the prom once.

  1. Willing to live the vida loca of a Consultant (and have the personality to be successful at it).

Nice to haves (but not required)

  1. 2-4+ years of experience on large capital projects

What’s in it for you?

This role is going to be rocket boosters for your early career and will earn you the envy of your peers who are trudging along in entry-level positions.  If you are an EIT, you have the added bonus as the Edmonton Lead is a Professional Engineer and can support you in acquiring your P.Eng.  The plan is for you to be a senior consultant’s shadow and extra set of hands while devouring the kind of mentoring that money can’t buy.

Nothing in this world turns out exactly as planned, but the success of this position will be measured by you, within 2-5 years, being able to:
