Revenue Accountant

HornBill's client, a world class consumer products company located in New York, New York (NY), is seeking a Revenue Accountant. Summary: This company is a fantastic platform for career growth. The Revenue Accountant will hold responsibility for all revenue and net sales activities within both the wholesale and -retail POS- environments operating in Americas, EMEA and APAC regions. The position reports to the Manager, Revenue Accounting and works closely with colleagues in A/R, FP&A, Sales and Customer Service teams. Responsibilities:

• Accounts for all revenue streams
• Executes end of month closing process including supporting the closing meeting on actual revenue results
• Reports on exceptional sales related transactions
• Participates in the customer settlement process (Discounts, markdowns, chargebacks, allowances)
• Performs an internal sales audit functions for all revenue streams
• Supports and enhances the internal controls of the organization
• Reviews/maintains critical AX master data impacting accounting postings
• Contributes actively to the continuous improvement process

• Preference will be given for candidates holding CPA, CMA or accounting degrees
• Should possess 1-3 years accounting or audit experience with preference for experiences in fashion, wholesale or retail industries
• Must have strong working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Sumifs, index/match, pivot tables, Excel tables) with strong preference for candidates with ERP solutions like: Microsoft Dynamics AX12, SAP or Oracle
• Must be able to independently build analytical reports which can be updated regularly and efficiently capable of presentation to business executives to support relevant, timely business decisions
