Revenue Accountant - Global Services & Commerce

You will work with GBS and cross-functional partners supporting accounting responsibilities for Services \u0026 Commerce activity (including but not limited to Gift Card, Royalties, Wallet, Payments, Commerce) on both production and projects.Outstanding attention to detail while maintaining a global perspective, demonstrating an understanding of and ability to clearly communicate downstream risks and impact.\\nSelf-starter with the ability to take care of ambiguity and work independently with minimal supervision, in a fast paced environment.\\nAbility to thrive in relationship building both within team and with cross functional partners.\\nExcellent oral and written communications skills, including process documentation and presentation skills.\\nAbility to effectively partner with cross-functional teams on projects and day to day tasks and negotiate / influence solutions.\\nCurious and inquisitive personality, demonstrates professional skepticism.\\nEnsure appropriate revenue recognition and other related accounting positions for Services \u0026 Commerce activity (including but not limited to Gift Card, Royalties, Wallet, Payments, Commerce).\\nManage and resolve exceptions that impact revenue recognition and other relevant accounting processes.\\nEngage with multiple business partners as a subject matter expert. Assist them to work through complex and ad hoc accounting matters, answer questions and provide valuable feedback in both projects and regular functions. \\nParticipate in the close process by preparing accounting entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and other close deliverables.\\nEnsure that all work is in compliance with Apple finance policies, U.S. GAAP and internal financial controls. \\nParticipate in quarterly balance sheet reconciliation reviews by presenting their work and explaining their process.\\nParticipate in projects during their entire cycle, from initial engagement to production go-live.\\nLead, plan and support the implementation of initiatives to drive process improvements in terms of quality, efficiency and scalability.\\nPerform other related ad-hoc tasks as needed.Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting or related field.\\n5 years of accounting experience with capacity to take ownership of and manage complex accounting matters though demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.\\nPublic accounting or large corporation experience.\\nProficient in U.S. GAAP (ASC 606) and internal financial controls. \\nAdvanced systems skills required especially ability to quickly learn and master different IT systems.\\nERP (i.e. SAP) systems skills.\\nAdvanced Excel skills. CPA.\\nStrong SAP skills.
