This role ensures every BODYBAR studio has the right products, merchandising standards, and inventory systems to drive retail sales and elevate the brand experience.
What You’ll Do:Retail Merchandising & Strategy
- Lead retail merchandising strategy and seasonal product launches across all studios
- Develop product assortments, planograms, and visual merchandising standards
- Create retail readiness kits for new studio openings and launches
- Partner with Marketing, Design, and Operations on retail campaigns and product storytelling
- Research market and athleisure trends to inform product strategy
- Source and manage vendors for apparel, accessories, and branded merchandise
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, timelines, and order terms
- Manage product ordering systems and franchisee purchasing platform
- Oversee production timelines and ensure on-time delivery for studio launches
- Set inventory ordering standards (MOQs, reorder points, inventory targets)
- Forecast inventory needs across core and seasonal product lines
- Track product performance, sales trends, and profitability
- Support budgeting, invoicing, and financial reconciliation with Finance
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce inventory waste
- Serve as the main retail merchandising contact for franchisees
- Support studio openings, presales, and grand openings (including on-site support as needed)
- Train studio teams on retail selling, product knowledge, and merchandising standards
- Provide tools, playbooks, and guidance to improve retail execution and sales
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years in retail merchandising, buying, procurement, or inventory management
- Experience in fitness, boutique retail, athleisure, or apparel strongly preferred
- Experience working with multi-location or franchise systems is a plus
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Experience with inventory planning, forecasting, and retail budgeting
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail/inventory systems
- Retail merchandising & product assortment planning
- Vendor sourcing and negotiation
- Inventory forecasting and budget management
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to train and support field/studio teams
- Creative eye for brand presentation and retail experience
- Play a key role in a rapidly growing boutique fitness brand
- Own a high-impact retail function across a national franchise system
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and franchise leadership
- Hybrid schedule with travel to studios across the U.S.
