Job Title: Regulatory & Compliance Analyst, New Mexico 
Location: Must reside in New Mexico or Midland, TX area
Travel Required: Up to 40% 
Direct Report: General Counsel

If you reside in the Midland, TX area, this position requires in-office work with periodic travel to New Mexico state regulatory agencies. If you reside in New Mexico, this position is remote, but requires travel to New Mexico state regulatory agencies and occasional travel to XRI offices in Texas. 

Purpose: 
The Regulatory and Compliance Analyst is XRI’s representative before the various regulatory agencies in New Mexico. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with regulators, ensuring new and planned operations comply with applicable regulations, and monitoring current operations on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with existing regulations and any upcoming regulatory changes.  This includes obtaining and processing operations data for use in preparing, reviewing, and submitting administrative filings required by applicable state and local government regulatory agencies such as the New Mexico Oil Conservation District (NMOCD), State Land Office (SLO), and Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
