Position Summary:
Provide primary administrative and operational support to the Office of the Registrar, with a focus on excellent customer service, accurate records management, and reliable coverage across the office's cyclical peak periods. Serve as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors engaging with the Office in person, by email, and through other communication channels.
Provide cross-trained operational support to the Assistant Registrar (Scheduling & Records) during cyclical peaks including term build, registration, commencement, and graduation audit. The position is intentionally designed to share overlapping operational knowledge with the Assistant Registrar so that no single point of failure exists during peak cycles.
Supervision:
This position reports to the Assistant Registrar (Scheduling & Records).
This position will oversee student employees.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Student Support
- Consistently provide excellent customer service; troubleshoot and problem-solve all inquiries via any communication channel.
- Serve as the primary staff member to greet and assist visitors.
- Prepare enrollment verifications and other documentation as needed by students and alumni.
Records, Data Management & Compliance
- Oversee the distribution of student transcripts as needed in various formats, delivered with complete accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Enter and maintain demographic and biographical information for current students; verify accuracy according to federal, state, and institutional standards.
- Attain and maintain familiarity with the provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); interpret provisions of this legislation for individuals as appropriate.
Academic Systems & Operational Support
- Provide selected Banner data entry support for academic schedule build and section maintenance under the direction of the Assistant Registrar.
- Provide cross-trained operational coverage during cyclical peak periods of the Office, including term roll, schedule build, registration, commencement, and graduation audit. Maintain working familiarity with selected Assistant Registrar workflows to ensure operational continuity in the event of absence.
- Maintain advanced functional knowledge of Banner, Degree Works, and other Office systems to assist students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and participate in special assignments as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student population.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Technological curiosity and ability.
- Ability to prioritize projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines while working independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with a database information system is preferred.
Work Environment:
Most of the work of the incumbent is carried out within a generally accessible, safe, indoor environment. The incumbent will be required to operate a personal computer and associated equipment used in the day-to-day office operations. The position is fully in-person and serves as a primary point of contact for the Office.
This position is 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Hiring Range:
$22.00 to $24.00 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
