Department Introduction:
The Procurement team plays a critical role in building strong supplier partnerships, delivering value, and ensuring reliable supply across the business. We work cross-functionally to improve cost, quality, and performance while supporting responsible and sustainable sourcing practices!
Position Overview:
As a Category Supplier Manager, you will lead supplier relationships and performance within an assigned category. You will develop and implement sourcing strategies, support cost and supply goals, and partner with internal teams to drive continuous improvement. This role has a direct impact on supplier performance, business continuity, and overall procurement success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and build strong, collaborative relationships
- Lead supplier performance management using clear metrics and continuous improvement practices
- Develop and implement category strategies focused on cost, supply continuity, and quality outcomes
- Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts, and sourcing events to achieve business objectives
- Analyze market trends, benchmarking data, and cost models to inform sourcing decisions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align supplier performance with business priorities
- Plan and lead supplier business reviews and strategic meetings to drive accountability and results
- Ensure suppliers meet compliance standards, including ethical, regulatory, and social responsibility expectations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related role
- Experience measuring and improving supplier performance using defined metrics (e.g., cost savings, delivery, or quality KPIs)
- Experience ensuring supplier adherence to procurement policies and compliance requirements
- Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior or executive stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategy and performance
- Experience leading supplier business reviews or strategic events (e.g., executive reviews, roadmap discussions)
- Strong negotiation and contract management experience in a global environment
- Experience using cost modeling, market data, or benchmarking to guide decisions
- Demonstrated ability to coach or mentor team members and contribute to team development
