Property Accountant

HornBill has a client in Baltimore, Maryland (MD) who is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join their team. Responsibilities include:

• Prepare reconciliation billings and schedules for tenants with timely true up of amounts due
• Prepare monthly journal entries while maintaining backup schedules, as necessary, for documentation of entries
• Maintain and review schedules for subsidiary ledgers of accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.; Reconcile accounts monthly
• Maintain and review depreciation schedules; Complete input forms and ensure integrity between general ledger and fixed asset system
• Prepare schedules or reports, as needed, for external/internal audits, tax department and legal department

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of experience in corporate accounting, commercial property accounting preferred
• Proficiency with Yardi or other commercial real estate software preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
