Project Manager – Procurement Systems<\/b><\/b><\/div><\/div>Be part of a major digital transformation initiative driving modernization across procurement, ERP, and enterprise systems within a large public sector environment. This role offers the opportunity to lead high -impact IT projects, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and contribute to strategic initiatives in a dynamic and fast -paced setting.<\/div><\/div>What is in it for you:<\/b><\/b><\/div><\/div>• Salaried: $90 -100 per hour.<\/div>• Incorporated Business Rate: $105 -115 per hour.<\/div>• 12 -month contract with a maximum extension term of 6 months.<\/div>• Full -time position: 36.25 hours per week.<\/div>• Weekday schedule from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm.<\/div>• On -site role in Edmonton, Alberta, 5 days per week.<\/div><\/div>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/b><\/div><\/div>• Manage complex Procurement system projects spanning contract -to -pay, procure -to -pay, and source -to -contract processes.<\/div>• Manage complex Human Resources Information System (HRIS) projects in compliance with public sector policies and guidelines.<\/div>• Manage Budgeting and Forecasting system projects across the fiscal year lifecycle, preferably within an SAP environment.<\/div>• Document briefing notes and project status reports for Executive Steering Committees at the ministerial level.<\/div>• Manage project resources efficiently to achieve project goals.<\/div>• Compile project charters and business or project plans to support project activities and ensure business objectives and data integrity.<\/div>• Manage projects involving business requirements documentation, solution design, and delivery of IT solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.<\/div>• Assist with recommendations related to resource requirements, dependencies, policy implications, and project methodologies.<\/div>• Produce and package deliverables for presentations to internal support teams, steering committees, and project stakeholders.<\/div>• Manage multiple projects, project resources, and governance activities simultaneously.<\/div>• Work with project sponsors to maintain effective communication and escalate risks when required.<\/div>• Maintain client satisfaction and foster strong stakeholder relationships to support successful outcomes.<\/div>• Collaborate with business and IT leadership to define project objectives, scope, timelines, budgets, risks, benefits, and resource requirements.<\/div>• Work with project sponsors and the project management office to establish project structures with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.<\/div>• Document and report project progress against objectives, milestones, budgets, and resources while facilitating issue and risk resolution.<\/div>• Develop project schedules, estimate resource requirements, monitor work plans, and implement corrective actions when necessary.<\/div>• Provide guidance to project resources regarding priorities and timely task completion.<\/div>• Develop related requirements documentation as needed.<\/div>• Assess project outcomes with project sponsors and identify opportunities for improvement on future initiatives.<\/div>• Provide leadership and support to business and project teams requiring change management and communication assistance.<\/div>• Work within project management office standards and contribute to the definition of new standards when required.<\/div><\/div>What you will need to succeed:<\/b><\/b><\/div><\/div>• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or an equivalent field.<\/div>• Active PMP or PGMP certification issued by the Project Management Institute is considered an asset.<\/div>• 6 years of experience in a project management role.<\/div>• 6 years of experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.<\/div>• 6 years of experience developing project deliverables, including project charters and business cases.<\/div>• 6 years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently.<\/div>• 4 years of experience developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships across organizations.<\/div>• 4 years of experience making recommendations on highly technical and complex issues.<\/div>• 4 years of experience working with software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.<\/div>• 4 years of experience managing large and complex custom software implementation projects.<\/div>• 4 years of experience working within an enterprise architecture environment.<\/div>• 4 years of experience working in or for the public sector.<\/div>• 4 years of senior leadership experience within the public sector, ideally in Canada.<\/div>• 4 years of experience leading IT solutions initiatives involving multiple teams.<\/div>• Ability to learn quickly, troubleshoot issues, and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.<\/div>• Ability to manage stress and conflict effectively.<\/div>• Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills.<\/div>• Ability to communicate project progress closely with key stakeholders.<\/div>• Availability to lead frequent daily face -to -face meetings with clients and technical teams.<\/div><\/div><\/div>Three (3) professional references for similar work performed
