Project Controller<\/b><\/div><\/div>Support major mining projects across the Americas and Europe in a bilingual, globally connected environment. This hybrid contract opportunity based in Montreal offers exposure to international stakeholders, flexible scheduling, and involvement in project controls, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives within a safety -focused organization.<\/div><\/div>What is in it for you:<\/b><\/b><\/div><\/div>• Salaried: $67 -77 per hour.<\/div>• Incorporated Business Rate: $80 -90 per hour.<\/div>• 12 -month contract with the potential for permanent employment.<\/div>• Full -time position: 37.50 hours per week.<\/div>• Hybrid work model with attendance required at the Montréal office 1 day per week.<\/div>• Typical schedule is 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. to support the EMEA region, with flexibility required to occasionally adjust hours to support the AMR region.<\/div><\/div>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/b><\/div><\/div>• Report to the AMR and EMEA Project Controls Lead.<\/div>• Support the implementation of global project services mission, vision, and goals.<\/div>• Perform monthly project control activities as directed by the AMR and EMEA Project Controls Lead.<\/div>• Use assigned project controls tools to support project activities.<\/div>• Manage budget tracking and monthly reporting activities.<\/div>• Support forecasting and Annual Plan Review (APR) processes.<\/div>• Manage accruals activities.<\/div>• Provide vendor management and invoicing support and verification.<\/div>• Coordinate planning activities with Asset Managers and supporting functions including Procurement, HSE, CSP, and Finance.<\/div>• Support and track Service Entry Sheets (SES) and invoicing activities.<\/div>• Create Purchase Requisitions (PR) and track Purchase Orders (PO).<\/div>• Collaborate with Asset Managers to establish routine progress review meetings.<\/div>• Oversee contracted project controls assigned to specific projects under the direction of the AMR and EMEA Project Controls Lead.<\/div>• Ensure required tools, processes, and procedures are implemented across assigned projects as directed by the AMR and EMEA Project Controls Lead.<\/div>• Support global process improvements and implementation initiatives as directed by the Project Services Manager.<\/div>• Support the recruitment of project controllers and schedulers.<\/div>• Lead regional trainings and presentations.<\/div><\/div>What you will need to succeed:<\/b><\/b><\/div><\/div>• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, accounting, or a related field is desirable.<\/div>• 5 years of experience in project controls.<\/div>• Experience managing project control deliverables for a portfolio of projects.<\/div>• Understanding of project management and project controls concepts.<\/div>• Knowledge or experience in progress management.<\/div>• Experience with earned value management, forecasting, and accruals.<\/div>• Knowledge or experience in change management.<\/div>• Proficiency with SAP, Excel, and Power BI.<\/div>• Ability to work independently as a self -starter.<\/div>• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.<\/div>• Commitment to the safety of self and team members.<\/div>• Bilingual in English and French to support collaboration, reporting, stakeholder meetings, and coordination with teams and leadership across the Americas region, Europe, France, and the United States.<\/div><\/div>Why Recruit Action?<\/b><\/b><\/div><\/div>Recruit Action (agency permit: AP -2504511) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach.
