We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Project Accountant to support our growing Ajera Services team. In this role, you will provide transactional accounting and project coordination support to AEC clients using Deltek Ajera.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and has strong project accounting and client communication skills. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial operations, timely project execution, and an exceptional client experience.
What you’ll do at SN:
Client Accounting & Project Support
- Perform project accounting functions including:
- Client invoicing
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Credit card imports
- Vendor invoice coding and payments
- Accounts receivable collection activities
- Complete client deliverables accurately, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate project kickoff meetings, agendas, and meeting documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and external client stakeholders to support project success
- Monitor and follow up on action items and deliverables
Project Coordination & Documentation
- Maintain project plans, workflow documentation, and meeting notes
- Update project records and team notes on a weekly basis
- Support process improvements and implementation of best practices
- Ensure documentation standards and internal procedures are consistently followed
Ajera & Technical Responsibilities
- Navigate Deltek Ajera across:
- Project Command Center
- Client invoicing
- Bank and credit card reconciliation
- Vendor management
- AR collection tools
- Apply project accounting concepts including:
- Job costing
- WIP analysis
- Billing procedures
What you may have done before:
- Worked successfully in a fully remote environment
- Worked within a Professional Services environment
What it takes to be a Project Accountant:
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience at the Project Accountant level or higher
- Experience managing multiple accounting priorities and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Deltek Ajera
- AEC industry accounting experience
- Familiarity with project accounting principles including WIP analysis and job costing
- Experience with vendor payment processing and AR collections
- Accounting degree preferred, but not required

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $65,000 - 75,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
