Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for managing project finances, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely and accurate project reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and compliance with industry-specific regulations.
Essential Functions
- Project Accounting
- Oversee all financial aspects of assigned construction projects, including AP/AR Invoice Processing, Budgeting, Forecasting, CostControland Financial Analysis.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including labor reports, project cost reports, variance analysis, and cash flow projections.
- In conjunction with the Project Manager, support project billings, including preparation and submission of invoices, and follow-up on outstanding payments.
- Conduct secondary reviews of all project costs and expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgets andidentifyingcost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and ensure proper allocation of expenses.
- Build andmaintainaccurateand organized financial records, including contracts, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Assistwith internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Payroll
- Oversee and process end-to-end payroll process, including data entry/validation, and calculations for craft employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Prepare andmaintainpayroll records, reports, and documentation.
- Assistin the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Prepare and review payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related information.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and software, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issuesin a timely manner.
- Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and support companyobjectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, ora relatedfield (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR-related roles.
- Proficiencyin Spanish a plus.
- Strong ability to source and engage candidates across various platforms.
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Passion for talent development and workforce planning.
- Experience with employer branding and recruitment marketing is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Combination of in-office and remote work(3 days in office, 2 days remote)
- General work environment – sitting forextended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- Noise level istypically lowto medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Employee Status: Full-time (Exempt)
Salary Range: $75,000 - $98,000
