Project Accountant

Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle accounting for assigned construction projects
- Review contractor invoices for accuracy and proper coding
- Track job costs, commitments, and accrued expenses
- Prepare loan draw support schedules and assist with lender submissions
- Month end close, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare project-level financial statements and management reports
- Partner with Development to understand project budgets and timelines
- Assist with interim, quarter and year end audits, tax support, and lender reporting
- Provide support and assistance to the shared services treasury and A/P teams as needed
- Actively support continuous improvement and technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and ensure strong internal controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong US GAAP Foundation with a minimum of 2-5 years of real estate construction accounting experience
- Yardi Voyager experience including Construction Manager module strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Must be a detail-oriented, self-starter with good oral and written communication and strong time management skills.
- Must be a team player willing to support and assist others when called upon.
