Job Title: Product/Project Procurement Manager
Pay: $67.00–$70.00/hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (East Coast hours)
Location: Orlando, FL 32822 – Onsite (Preferred)
Alternate Location: Irvine, CA 92618 – Onsite (Must work East Coast hours)
Overview Seeking an experienced, strategic Product/Project Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities across complex product development, engineering, and project delivery programs. This position focuses on global supply chain management, procurement strategy, supplier relationships, cost optimization, and cross-functional project leadership. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing procurement throughout the product development lifecycle, working with engineering teams, navigating complex supplier relationships, and delivering results under demanding project schedules. This is a strategic procurement and project management position, not a tactical purchasing or buyer role.
Required Skills

Global supply chain experience, including managing international suppliers and complex procurement activities.
Product development procurement experience, supporting engineering-driven products from design through production.
Strong project/program management experience, with an emphasis on strategic procurement planning and execution.
Experience managing suppliers, resolving conflicts, and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
Experience working with supplier databases, engineering databases, and multilevel Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Ability to review engineering BOM revisions, identify procurement impacts, and manage frequent design changes.
Experience developing acquisition strategies, managing procurement schedules, and mitigating supplier risks.
Strong understanding of Make-or-Buy analysis, supplier selection, and procurement planning.
Ability to manage multiple projects, tight deadlines, competing priorities, and challenging stakeholder expectations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Job Description

Lead procurement strategy and execution for multiple product development, bid, and project delivery programs.
Develop and implement acquisition plans aligned with project schedules, quality requirements, cost targets, and business objectives.
Partner with engineering, product development, program management, and supply chain teams to ensure procurement readiness.
Review engineering databases, multilevel BOMs, and design revisions to evaluate sourcing requirements and procurement impacts.
Manage global supplier relationships, address performance challenges, and resolve issues affecting project delivery.
Lead procurement-related project activities, ensuring suppliers meet contractual commitments, quality expectations, and delivery schedules.
Evaluate sourcing alternatives, supplier capabilities, market innovations, and Make-or-Buy opportunities.
Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
Support design-to-cost initiatives and identify opportunities to improve product competitiveness.
Coordinate with strategic sourcing teams and buyers to execute procurement plans.
Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate project risks, and resolve complex supplier or procurement challenges.
Monitor procurement milestones, costs, supplier performance, and project deliverables.
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, contractual requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Utilize ERP systems, supplier databases, and engineering tools to maintain accurate procurement and project information.

Preferred Skills

Aerospace, avionics, or in-flight entertainment/connectivity industry experience is highly preferred.
SAP or similar ERP system experience.
Strategic sourcing and competitive RFQ experience.
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and cost optimization.
Experience implementing cost savings initiatives.
Experience supporting complex engineered products with frequently changing BOMs.
Knowledge of export controls, regulatory compliance, and international procurement requirements.
Bid management, program management, and supplier contract management experience.

Education Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field with 8–12+ years of relevant experience.
