Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for aiding and assisting in the procurement of services, material, equipment, and more for ThayerMahan. The Procurement Specialist will receive quotes and requisition forms in order to create Purchase Orders and Professional Service Agreements within a timely manner. This role will require the candidate to handle multiple Purchase Orders at one time and continuously control internal documentation to maintain visibility and communication for other departments within ThayerMahan.

This position requires the candidate to be well organized, detail oriented, and confident in their work and knowledge of what is being procured. The Procurement Specialist will have the first opportunity to review negotiations received from our sellers and will need to have a basic understanding of contractual and legal terminology. This role will require strong communication, both verbal and written, and someone who is confident to negotiate over the phone and with both domestic and international vendors.

Overall, the Procurement Specialist will work for the continuing development and implementation of procurement within ThayerMahan and our rapidly growing organization. They will be responsible for understanding how ThayerMahan operates and become familiar with the products we house and corresponding projects we manage.
