Position Summary:
To perform sourcing and procurement activities in support of the supply chain, and to ensure that goods and services are sourced to meet business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processes purchase orders through the ERP system with direction of the Sr. Management, Operations, Purchasing and Planning in support of SDC chemical and machine manufacturing schedules.
- Purchases include raw materials, packaging and equipment as required to ensure planned production runs smoothly and efficiently. Raw materials can include chemical goods, electronic components and machine parts.
- Supports and maintains strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers, including the scoring of vendor performance to provide feedback on their performance.
- Supports procurement process, including the establishment of purchasing agreements, alternate vendor certifications, identifying and minimizing single source points, optimizing cost for alternative sourcing and ensuring raw materials and goods go to correct departments
- Performs physical inventory and supports strategic planning efforts related to warehousing versus customer demand to aid the company's efforts to maintain customer service through freight consolidation.
- Ensures Certificates of Analysis and Certificates of Conformance go to Chemists and Quality Control team.
- Keeps log and updates Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals purchased

- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and minimum two years procurement experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of ERP functions preferred.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel
