Procurement Specialist

Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, this position is required to provide procurement support to the GLE team. The Procurement Specialist ensures successful procurement of goods and services to support GLE’s daily operations and schedule. This role will work closely with the Finance Team and supports various GLE departments.

What You’ll Do
- Procurement processing including facilitating purchase requisition sign off, purchase order processing, goods and services receipting, and obtaining approval for payment of supplier invoices in line with approved Authority Schedule.
- Managing supplier profiles and payment terms.
- Analyze supplier invoices / highlight discrepancies and undertake rectification with supplier as required including resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
- Ensuring procurement follows the relevant policies, process, and procedures.
- Maintain and oversee use of all credit card purchases.
- Assist with credit card reconciliation.
- Maintain Vendor Summary ensuring all required information is obtained.
- Support with Contractor Management.
- Support with tracking operating and capital expenditure to budget, providing insight into the timing of forecast spend.
- Coordination of freight and deliveries.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Environment Health and Safety (EHS):
- Maintain compliance with safety requirements.
- Immediately report any safety or environmental incidents, concerns, unsafe acts and conditions or near misses to the Company’s management.
- Adhere to the Company’s EHS environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements relating to the work being undertaken to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace and to minimize or eliminate the environmental impacts of the task.
- Perform safety and risk assessment duties as assigned by management.
What You’ll Bring
- Ability to obtain and maintain an NRC Q-clearance (or have a current Top-Secret clearance).
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in transactional finance processing, document control, and office administration.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Office and business financial databases.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize diverse work demands.
- Self-driven individual with initiative and continuous improvement focus.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and invoices.
- Professional attitude and presentation.
Desired Qualifications
- TS or Q Security Clearance
- Supply chain or contract management certification (DAWIA, NCMA, etc.)
- Department of Energy experience
- Nuclear Regulatory Commission experience
- Military experience
- NQA-1 training or experience
- ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk.
- Prolonged periods of and working on a computer and looking at a computer screen.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
