Role Title: Procurement Specialist
Position Type: Contract-to-hire

SUMMARY:
The Procurement Specialist will serve as a key team member for our operational and financial workflows. This role will bridge the gap between procurement execution, budgetary oversight, and governance.
Beyond standard purchasing, you will take ownership of budget-tracking dashboards, drive process alignment through change and release management, and ensure strict compliance with manufacturing and corporate governance. The ideal candidate brings ERP experience, strong financial acumen, and the ability to engage with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Execution & Financial Alignment
- Create, track, and manage complex requisitions within the teams enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, ensuring data integrity and correct cost-center allocation.
- Partner closely with internal procurement teams to convert requisitions into Purchase Orders (POs) efficiently, managing vendor timelines and expectations.
- Oversee the mapping of vendor invoices back to active POs and receiving logs, proactively resolving discrepancies in pricing, volume, or delivery terms.
Financial Analytics & Dashboard Oversight
- May be asked to monitor capital project and operational expense spends against approved fiscal budgets, flagging variances and trends to leadership.
- Utilize and optimize existing financial dashboards to provide real-time budget tracking, spend visibility, and forecasting.
Governance, Change, & Release Management
- Run comprehensive compliance reports and support audit readiness, ensuring all procurement activities align with internal controls and corporate governance standards.
- Assist with release management and operational change management tasks, ensuring that updates to supply chain workflows, system changes, or vendor transitions are seamlessly executed without disrupting production.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain finance, or capital spend management. Experience within food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or heavy manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience operating within major ERP environments (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) required.
- Proven ability to handle governance/compliance and change management independently.
