The Opportunity
We have an immediate opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in our Lake County, Abbott Park, IL location.
The Regional Procurement Operations (RPO) Team supports procurement professionals and divisional stakeholders in the procurement and contracting of indirect goods and services across the globe. The RPO team members apply source to pay best practices and enabling technology knowledge to guide stakeholders towards best in practice processes and standards. The team members collaborate daily with stakeholders within their areas to support procurement activities and bring forward continuous improvement opportunities to advance the function.
The RPO Contract COE Specialist will be leading the Contract Management Center of Excellence with a the collaboration of our 3rd party provider and with the direction of the Business Excellence Senior Contract Management Specialist. The Contract COE Function supporting stakeholders in developing and driving best practices and continuous improvement across people, process, and technology within the contract management function. This role will be focused on maturing the contract management process and repositories within key markets with the vision of expanding the maturity model globally. While the immediate focus will be on simplifying and aligning the contract signature process and reposition, the individual will have a long-term target to support continuous improvement and special projects globally.
What You'll Work On:
Collaborate, guide, and educate 3rd party providers and international contract workers.
Influence stakeholders to adopt the change process within contract technologies and maintain supplier workspaces within.
Support the Sr Contract Management Specialist in implementing simplistic and clear contracting guidelines.
Execute the tactical guidelines provided by the Sr Contract Management Specialist to ensure the available repositories are robust, accurate, and maintained as needed on a daily.
Support the continuous improvement and on-going development of the contract management function within a Source to Pay Technology Platform and/or available technologies.
Strategic Thinking:
Full understanding of the "One Procurement" strategies.
Performs routine professional-based activities.
Proactively seek innovative ways to improve the contract management processes, cycle times, and customer experience.
Works within defined processes and procedures and may help determine appropriate approaches for change while mitigating disruption with the involved parties.
Relationship Management:
Meet regularly with 3rd party contractors and support functions to ensure good customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Support training with procurement professionals and surrounding functions.
Leading People:
Works effectively in a team environment.
Exhibit cultural awareness with diverse business entities.
Seek, develop, and maintain business relationships.
Communicate with appropriate teams to collaborate on contract management activities.
Compliance:
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
Accountability:
Executes against the goals set by the Global Process Organization/Corporate Financial Services
Seek innovative ways to maintain and improve procurement processes, cycle times, total acquisition costs, and customer service levels.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
2-4 years of business experience
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Self-Starter and possesses drive for professional development

Analytical skills and high proficiency with reporting and excel tools
Strong people and team collaboration skills

The base pay for this position is
$61,300.00 – $122,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
