The Procurement Services Representative I supports Shaw’s Strategic Procurement Model through accurate execution of transactional purchasing activities, administrative duties, and internal customer support. This role provides foundational procurement experience and is ideal for early-career professionals looking to grow within a dynamic supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Transactional Procurement Execution – Perform daily P2P (procure-to-pay) activities including requisition processing, purchase order entry and edits, item maintenance, and resolution of match exceptions
Compliance Support – Execute processes to ensure transactional alignment with sourcing strategies, supplier utilization policies, and internal approval workflows. · Customer Service & Issue Resolution – Serve as a subject matter expert in the P2P Process, providing prompt support (training, issue resolution, etc.) to internal customers for procurement-related inquiries, including service requests. Escalate non-routine issues to senior team members or supervisors.
Relationship Management – Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely issue resolution and service excellence.
Effective Communication – Communicate clearly and professionally with peers, internal stakeholders, and suppliers. Use written and verbal communication to share updates, ask questions, and ensure understanding of basic procurement processes.
Documentation & Data Maintenance – Maintain procurement documentation and ensure data accuracy in ERP and procurement systems.
Team Collaboration – Partner with colleagues, suppliers, and other departments to ensure purchasing accuracy and service quality.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field and 0-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or professional customer service roles strongly preferred. HS Diploma and 3-5 years of procurement, supply chain, or customer service experience can be considered.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc)
Interest in emerging tools like AI platforms (e.g., Copilot, GPT) Key Skills:
