The Project\:
The operator of a major international airport is considering a further update to expand the main terminal, reconfigure concourses and phase out legacy passenger transport systems.
Shared with airline stakeholders earlier this year, the proposed programme is estimated at c.$22 billion, with completion targeted in the mid-2030s, forming part of a wider transformation to support significant long-term passenger growth.
By comparison, the existing master plan approved in 2025 outlined c.$7 billion of phased capital investment, aligned to projections of up to 90 million annual passengers by the end of the century.

You’ll Be Responsible For:
Directs the Category Management teams and Leadership incl High Value / Complexity Tenders
Proactively develops and creates internal and external senior stakeholder relationships.
Provides performance management, technical & career development and coaching.
Provides expert due diligence and company and market expertise.
Executes value creating re Process, Performance & Commercial Activity; Track Record of Delivering on Targets
Adapts Plan Development & Implementation incl Embedding, Monitoring, Delivering via Others.
Provides leadership and management of teams, and acts as a role model for behaviours.
Delivers on Objectives in Challenging Situations on Time.
Contributes/inputs in to strategy development, develops plans and oversees the delivery and manages (area/unit/discipline)
Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
Strong foundation in core subjects including Mathematics and English.
Preferably in business, economics, or a related discipline supporting commercial and analytical skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field relevant to category management and leadership.
MCIPS (or working towards) with strong knowledge of procurement strategy, category management, and commercial best practice.
Relevant certifications in project management, leadership, or commercial disciplines (e.g., PMP, Prince2) demonstrating ability to lead complex teams and programmes.Negotiation Skills at Executive/Client Level
Commercial /Tender Acumen.
Construction & Market Knowledge.
High Value/Complexity Tender Expertise.
Main Contractor Experience.
Note: The estimated starting salary for this position is $170k. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
