- Takes ownership as the buyer for the company, proactively identifying cost-saving and service-improvement opportunities for raw materials, specialty purchases, and commodity items.
- Generates purchase orders, and works with team to close out POs per compliance standards.
- Drives annual budgeted cost savings, margin enhancements, and other procurement benefits using leading-edge procurement practices.
- Leads competitive bidding processes, create and review purchase orders, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains an effective Procurement Management dashboard, providing clear monthly reporting on savings, key initiatives, and projects (KPIs).
- Oversees the development and execution of procurement category strategies and plans across all business channels, including supplier negotiation, selection, and evaluation.
- Negotiates and establish supply contracts, securing favorable pricing, terms, and conditions while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Identifies and evaluates new supply sources; collaborate with internal stakeholders on sourcing decisions.
- Reviews contracts and partner with internal team members to ensure compliance with contractor requirements.
- Drives profitability targets and ensure sustainable procurement performance by identifying key trends and market dynamics.
- Applies advanced procurement principles to achieve the best cost outcomes for the organization.
- Champions the execution of category strategies in close partnership with the COO and CEO.
- Partners with Quality team to ensure suppliers are meeting standards, and manage issues accordingly.
- Collaborates with Production and other departments to develop plant scheduling to optimize schedule compliance and on-time, in-full delivery.
- Trains and manages staff to follow established procedures, ensuring accountability to company policies and departmental goals.
- Collaborates with the Warehouse & Logistics team to develop and implement supply chain plans that affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products to enhance product flow.
- Interprets and implements company policies, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Implements Continuous Improvement Projects for better sourcing, procurement, on-time delivery and profitability.

- Experience in implementing and monitoring quality systems and process controls.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- Experience working with project management or project delivery, supplier relationships/project management/negotiations.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar certification desired.
- Demonstrated experience buying custom packaging items ex. bags, specialty films, labels, corrugated, anything with printing / custom sizing, preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in ERP systems required, Cyframe experience preferred.
- Proficiency with a variety of computer applications including Excel and Windows Office.
- Must be able to stand and walk for brief periods of time.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and written.
