Brief Description:

Our client, a growing specialty construction services firm, is looking for a Procurement Manager, to oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for construction projects.

This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, maintains strong vendor relationships, and leverages technology-driven tools to streamline processes, improve forecasting, and support data-driven decision-making.


Job Function:

Key Responsibilities:


• Manage end-to-end purchasing for materials, equipment, and subcontracted labor.
• Develop purchasing strategies to reduce costs and support schedules.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
• Issue purchase orders and track deliveries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Conduct vendor performance evaluations.
• Utilize ERP and construction management systems (Procore, Sage, Viewpoint, CMiC).
• Implement digital workflows and analyze purchasing data.
• Train staff on new procurement technology.
• Collaborate with the Controller on budgets, cost codes, and accounting alignment.
• Monitor pricing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and audit trails.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and field teams regarding material needs.


Job Requirement:

Qualifications:


• 5+ years of purchasing experience or supply chain experience
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and subcontractor processes
• Proficiency with ERP and procurement technology systems.
• Strong communication skills including negotiation skills.

• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and strong attention to detail
• Vista knowledge a plus
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and PDF software (Adobe / BlueBeam)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Construction Management.
• Experience implementing procurement software preferred.
• Power BI or advanced analytics capabilities preferred.

Pay: $100,000 - $125,000 /year commensurate with experience.
