Strong supplier partnerships, thoughtful purchasing decisions, and effective inventory management help keep our business moving. As a Procurement Intern, you'll learn how our teams manage vendor relationships, pricing and contract terms, service levels, and inventory while supporting day-to-day work and projects.

What You’ll Do
- Learn how procurement teams manage vendor and supplier relationships
- Support purchasing activities involving pricing, contract terms, service levels, and inventory tracking
- Assist with day-to-day procurement activities, customer service, and business projects
- Partner with teams across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources
- Present project findings and recommendations to business leaders

Internship Details
- Internship Duration: June 2027 – August 2027
- Location: St. Louis, MO 63134
- Format: In-Person
- Compensation: $22/hour
- Major(s): Economics, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
Performance Foodservice, PFG’s broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers — providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.
Required Qualifications
• Must be located within commuting distance of 25 miles
• Rising Junior or Rising Senior
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills and business acumen
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
• Rising Senior
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
