We are searching for a motivated & experienced Procurement Coordinator
The Procurement Coordinator supports daily purchasing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of raw materials, packaging, supplies, equipment, and services. This position is responsible for processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring deliveries, maintaining accurate ERP records, and supporting inventory and production requirements.
- Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, pricing, units of measure, delivery dates, and purchasing terms.
- Obtain supplier order confirmations and follow up on open, late, or backordered purchase orders.
- Expedite critical materials to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
- Communicate delivery delays, shortages, pricing discrepancies, and supply risks to relevant departments.
- Coordinate deliveries with suppliers, Planning, Production, Warehouse, Receiving, and Quality.
- Review inventory levels, production requirements, and purchasing reports to support material replenishment.
- Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, lead-time, minimum-order-quantity, and item information in the ERP system.
- Request supplier quotations and prepare price and lead-time comparisons.
- Resolve purchase order, receiving, quantity, pricing, and invoice discrepancies.
- Support supplier onboarding and maintain required purchasing and compliance documentation.
- Assist with supplier performance tracking, including delivery, quality, responsiveness, and order accuracy.
- Coordinate product samples, specifications, certificates, and technical documentation.
- Support returns, replacements, credits, and corrective actions for defective or incorrect materials.
- Prepare and maintain open purchase order, shortage, delivery, and procurement activity reports.
- Follow company purchasing procedures, approval requirements, food-safety standards, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve order accuracy, supplier service, material availability, and purchasing efficiency.
- Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience in a food manufacturing environment, with knowledge of perishable goods procurement preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality standards.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strategic supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and procurement software.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands effectively.
