At InHealth, we're on a mission to Make Healthcare Better. As the UK's largest specialist diagnostic provider, we support millions of patients each year through our partnerships with the NHS and healthcare organisations across the UK.
We're looking for an experienced Procurement Business Partner to act as the strategic link between procurement and operational teams across the business. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will work closely with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to identify procurement opportunities, develop category strategies, influence commercial decision-making, and ensure procurement activity delivers value, compliance and high-quality operational outcomes.
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of 2-3 days per week based at our Beaconsfield office, alongside national travel as required.
This role is ideally suited to a procurement professional with strong category management and stakeholder engagement experience who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery.
What You Will Do
- Develop and deliver procurement and category strategies aligned to organisational objectives.
- Lead procurement exercises from market engagement through to contract award.
- Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance and value improvement opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with budget holders, operational teams and senior stakeholders, ensuring procurement is involved early in decision-making.
- Manage supplier relationships and lead supplier performance reviews across assigned business areas.
- Analyse spend, market and operational data to inform sourcing decisions and procurement planning.
- Produce business cases, procurement reports and benefits tracking information.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant legislation, governance frameworks and organisational policies.
- Support sustainability, social value and continuous improvement objectives.
- Lead, coach and develop a small team of Procurement Specialists/Officers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
About You
You are an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial awareness, excellent stakeholder management skills and a track record of delivering measurable value.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience within procurement, category management, sourcing or commercial roles, ideally within a complex organisation.
- Experience leading, managing and developing colleagues within a procurement, commercial or supply chain environment.
- Demonstrable success in delivering cost savings, value improvement initiatives and commercial outcomes.
- Experience developing category strategies and managing supplier relationships across multiple business areas.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify commercial opportunities.
- Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and basic modelling.
- Experience using purchase order management systems and procurement tools.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to balance operational delivery with strategic planning and continuous improvement.
- CIPS Level 3 qualified (or above), with a commitment to continued professional development.
- Degree-level education (or equivalent experience).
- Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
Most importantly, you'll share InHealth's values of Trust, Passion, Care and Creativity, helping us deliver outstanding services for patients, partners and colleagues while continuing our mission to make healthcare better.
