Description

The Procurement Business Partner is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation, including leadership and business units, to provide high-quality, strategic procurement advice, support and solutions across the full procurement lifecycle.

This role works closely with stakeholders to plan, design and deliver procurement activities that achieve best value outcomes, ensure compliance with Council policies and legislation, and support effective service delivery to the community.

The Procurement Business Partner will guide and coach stakeholders through procurement processes, facilitating robust and transparent tendering activities while driving consistency, probity and sound governance. Using a proactive and collaborative approach, this role identifies opportunities to improve procurement practices, strengthen market engagement and lift organisational capability. Working closely with the wider Procurement & Contracts team, the role contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and supports the delivery of efficient, compliant and value-driven procurement outcomes that align with Council’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality, timely and accurate advice across all procurement activities (RFT, RFQ, EOI), enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions aligned to value for money principles.

Build strong, collaborative relationships with business units to understand service needs and proactively support procurement planning and delivery. Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, improving procurement capability and confidence across the organisation.

You are also required to:

Join us in this part-time (4 days per week) permanent role, offering a competitive salary range of $111,411 - $123,748 (pro-rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation. This will increase to $113,974 - $126,589 (pro-rata for part time) plus 12% super from 1 July 2026.
