Develops purchase orders in accordance with specifications, requirements, work statements and terms and conditions. Lead procurement activities and assigned commodities required for the sourcing of complex programs for material, software, and services. Will help develop, support and execute sourcing strategies based on existing and forecasted spend, demand and supply challenges and marketplace conditions, ensuring alignment with the Business Area objectives. Prepares/reviews proposals, develops evaluation criteria, selects or recommends suppliers, creates electronic purchase orders (ePO) files for review, prepares awards and administers resulting purchase orders. Negotiates additions, deletions, or modifications to purchase orders and resolves invoicing issues. Follow and execute to established and approved procurement policies and procedures in order to provide the best value consistent with quality and service requirements while maintaining good supplier relations. Responsible for Procurement Compliance.This role emphasizes supplier engagement, management, development and production ramp-up in addition to negotiating and ensuring compliance to internal and external policies. A successful candidate must be able to be an effective communicator internally and externally, build mutually beneficial relationships, be willing to advance their knowledge of procurement compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support new initiatives, including Zero Defect initiatives with suppliers.While using discretion and independent judgment, the successful candidate contributes to the general operations of the Purchasing Department by buying specific items or services assigned.Job responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:• Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule• Review requisitions• Prepare purchase orders or bid requests• Receive and contact vendors to find out status of an order• Contact vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality• Interface with all departments and resolves problems and issues with need purchase items• Review bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority• Constantly seek new or better sources of supply and strives to improve existing sources• Assist in developing delivery schedules• Perform expediting operations• Assist in developing or refining purchasing systems• Evaluate and selects suppliers of materials or services assigned and provides procurement justification including cost/price analysis for selected suppliers• Handle negotiations to obtain the best combination of price, quality and performance requirements in the required delivery time• Enter approved/signed purchase orders• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.While this is a remote position, our offices are located in New Hampshire, The successful candidate should be open to frequent travel with in Southern New Hampshire region.
