The Role
Accurate is on the hunt for a Procurement Advisor to join our Client Services team. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Edmonton office (preferred), with consideration for candidates based in Calgary. The person we envision for this role has a sharp eye for detail, a genuine interest in technology and hardware, and a knack for building strong relationships with clients, vendors, and teammates alike.
You will work closely with Account Managers, Licensing Advisors, and Project Teams to ensure clients are equipped with the right hardware and solutions at the right time. From quoting and order fulfillment to proactive opportunity identification and vendor management, you’ll be a key connector between our clients’ needs and the technology that serves them.
Core Accountabilities
Sales Request Management
- Respond to inbound client and internal sales requests quickly and accurately, ensuring the best solution is selected and the client is well-informed on the key aspects of their purchase.
- Set accurate delivery expectations and provide proactive status updates so clients and team members never have to follow up.
Quote & Order Fulfillment
- Generate accurate hardware quotes, place approved orders in a timely manner, and coordinate shipping and delivery logistics.
- Track orders from initiation to arrival, keeping clients and internal teams informed throughout the process.
Proactive Opportunity Identification
- Regularly review client environments using internal tools (e.g., IT Glue, N-Central) to identify aging assets and expiring hardware warranties.
- Present upgrade or replacement recommendations with a focus on long-term value, and communicate findings proactively to Account Managers and clients.
Product Knowledge & Consultation
- Maintain deep product expertise across programs and offerings; keep pricing and item descriptions current and stay up to date with vendor changes.
- Share product knowledge across teams and provide valuable input during complex client or internal procurement discussions.
Vendor Relationship Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with distributors and vendors to ensure timely procurement, competitive pricing, and current product knowledge.
- Stay informed about product changes and supply chain updates, and leverage vendor relationships to benefit Accurate and its clients.
Process Adherence & Documentation
- Follow and continuously improve procurement processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability.
- Maintain clear records of quotes, orders, and approvals so that team members can easily reference order history and status at any time.
The Qualifications
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have the following traits and qualifications:
- You have 2+ years of experience in procurement, hardware sales, IT distribution, or a related field.
- You have a solid understanding of IT hardware and a genuine interest in staying current with technology and vendor offerings.
- You’re highly detail-oriented; errors in quotes or orders stand out to you, and you take pride in getting it right the first time.
- You’re a strong communicator who can work confidently with clients, vendors, and internal teams at all levels.
- You’re organized and proactive; you manage multiple open orders and requests simultaneously without losing track of the details.
- You build and maintain relationships naturally with vendors, clients, and colleagues, and understand the value of a trusted partnership.
- You excel at seeing tasks through to the finish line and take ownership of the outcome from quote to delivery.
- Experience in an MSP or B2B technology environment is considered a strong asset.
- Experience and comfortability with AI tools is considered a strong asset. (Our company-approved tool list includes Claude, Copilot, and Gemini.)
